Comaish Advertising Services was established in 1989.
Our business has been built on attention to detail combined
with a ‘can-do’ approach to customer requirements.
Recognising this, clients have put challenges to us which, when
we have developed the solution, has led to an expansion of business
between us. Our logo translates to ‘the best is good enough
but only just’. It was included in the livery of our first
van in 1989 and continues to represent our philosophy today.
Manchester, Birmingham & Leeds
Our main branch and head office is in Liverpool, with regional
branches in Manchester, Birmingham and Mirfield, Leeds. This branch
network gives us excellent coverage to support our outdoor advertising
operations across the Midlands and the entire North of England.
The Birmingham branch has a high level of activity in bill building
and posting for major clients such as CBS and we also cover electrical
maintenance for several clients, including Titan.
Over 5,000 advertising posters are placed by the Manchester
depot each month and the staffing level has increased considerably
as the output continues to grow. Most of our wave posters are
produced here and Manchester is also the base for our building
maintenance division.
Output from the Leeds branch has grown considerably in recent
years and now has a staff of more than twenty. Says branch manager
Mark Allen “We provide the full range of billboard services
and have developed several particularly effective lighting displays”.
SAFE WORKING
In a business such as ours, safe working is of paramount importance.
We work in a wide range of public
settings and we are extremely aware of the importance of ensuring
the safety of both our staff and the general public. We operate
on busy roadsides, in shopping centres and on railway and underground
platforms.
We ensure that our staff are appropriately trained in all aspects
of the work involved in a project. Our staff are trained to the
JCAS standard for rail transport locations. For high level work
we use cherry pickers and to operate this equipment staff are
trained to Powered Access Federation standards.
OAA Outdoor Industry Passport Scheme.
The Outdoor Advertising Association has introduced the OAA Outdoor
Industry Passport Scheme for staff involved in the building, posting,
maintenance and dismantling of outdoor posters.
We work with HSS Training Solutions, ensuring all relevant staff
are fully trained in a range of issues including Workplace Safety,
Hazard Spotting, Working in Public Places, Working at Height,
Ladder Safety, Environmental Issues and Emergency Procedures.
